The meniscofemoral ligament begins at the back of the lateral meniscus, where it splits into two. One part passes in front of the posterior cruciate ligament and the other passes behind it.

Anterior meniscofemoral ligament
The anterior meniscofemoral ligament passes in front of the posterior cruciate ligament in its path from the back of the lateral meniscus to the medial condyle of the femur.
