Carpet-fitter's Knee

The 'nicknames' of many of the conditions hint at the activities at the root of the overuse - jumpers knee, housemaid's knee, clergyman's knee.
In Carpet-fitter's Knee there are two contact areas that are vulnerable - where the knee contacts the floor, and where the knee controls the 'kicker'.
In countries where the condition is recognised by the relevant industrial injuries authorities, employers can be taken to task for not providing adequate protection to their carpet-fitter employees. This might include effective knee pads, and adequate training.
