Patients may be given the catch-all diagnosis of ‘anterior knee pain’ (AKP) and referred onwards to a physiotherapist. Of these patients, many indeed, with guided physiotherapy exercises or by reducing heavy sporting activities, become free of symptoms, or at least find themselves with an acceptable level of pain. Some, however, continue to remain troubled and for a small group of patients this ongoing or chronic pain can be pronounced and severely affect their life - this could be called ‘chronic anterior knee pain’.
This illustrated downloadable .pdf ebook discusses the challenging problem of chronic pain in the front of the knee.
