Dirk Kokmeyer PT, DPT, PhD is a physical therapist in Portland, Maine and a board certified sports specialist (SCS) and Certified orthopaedic Manual Therapist (COMT).

He was previously the Director of Rehabilitation and Performance at Maine Medical Center and prior to that the Director of Physical Therapy at the Howard Head Sports Medicine Center at Vail Valley Medical Center in Colorado, USA, and lead physical therapist to Dr. Peter Millett of the Steadman-Hawkins Clinic.

Dirk graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Hogelschool van Utrecht school for Physical Therapy in the Netherlands, and began work with Howard Head Sports Medicine Centers in Vail, Colorado in 2000. He received his orthopaedic Manual Therapy Certification (COMT) in 2005 and his Sport Certified Specialist (SCS) certification in 2006. In 2012 he earned his Doctor of Physical therapy degree from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions in Provo, Utah and continued his education there to earn a PhD in orthopaedics and sports. He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and specializes in sports medicine, manual therapy, manipulation and the rehabilitation of knee and shoulder injuries.
