These authors report the use of a silicone membrane implanted with the hope of preventing arthrofibrosis yet again in a patient who had had several interventions and finally a total knee replacement. The silicone membrane failed to prevent a further flare up of arthrofibrosis, and the membrane had to be removed and the patellar area debrided.
