Mild genu varum or varus deformity.

Implications of genu varum

Genu varum is quite common in children and usually corrects itself, although some with grow to adults and retain the deformity. Most adult genu varum in the developed world, though, is secondary to medial meniscectomy. In deprived countries dietary deficiencies may be the cause.
