Galeazzi proximal realignment
The surgeon cuts along the inner aspect of the patella and separates out the tendon of the semitendinosus muscle (a hamstrings muscle) cutting the top end and leaving the bottom end attached to the tibia. The tendon is then anchored to the patella and the top end repositioned, so that the patella is pulled into a better position.
