Technique of angiography
The contrast agent in angiography is a special substance which shows up on X-ray.
Angiograms are done to show up the blood vessels, either to investigate their integrity (eg blockage, external obstruction), to look for aneurysms (abnormal connections between vessels) or to investigate tumours related to the blood vessels.
